WORKSHOPS
I teach multi-week classes, weekend intensives, and offer coaching for individuals and groups. My clown workshops in Denver often fill up quickly, so sign up soon to get a spot. Each class pulls from different pedagogies, and I enjoy blending several styles and disciplines together.
Reach out if you would like private workshops for your ensemble/team, are looking for a director for your show, or are seeking a coach for improv/clown/physical theater.

Clown
Physical Poetry, Presence, & Play
This class will introduce Clown through both physical and emotional exercises to allow actors to become more present, and how to use their playfulness as a stage tool to invite audiences in. Tune in to the audience, and find how playing your own vulnerability becomes the funniest thing.
Making Failure Funny
This class focuses on taking bold risks to find and deconstruct our instincts on stage: what do we do when the audience doesn’t like us? How do we win them back? We will fail big, fail small, fail messily, and fail like there’s no tomorrow to discover that failure is not the end, but a beautiful beginning.
Clowning for Improvisers
For seasoned and beginner improvisers alike, get out of your clever head, and into your body to create more dynamic stage pictures, characters, and relationships.
Red Nose Clown
The red nose is the “smallest mask in the world” (Jacques Lecoq). Rooted in physical theater technique and mask work, this version of clown heightens the actor’s naivete to discover the unique shape, rhythms, of your Clown.
Bouffon
Mocking, Flocking, and Games
Dive into the world of satire and mockery! We will work with finding play through children's games, group devising, flocking, the perspective of the Bouffon, creating grotesque characters, and more.
Devising Material Through Ensemble
Now that you’ve got the basics down, let’s create. Build on ensemble devising technique to simultaneously flip between performer, writer, and director. Learn how to use worldly and political topics in ways that provoke audiences.

Creating Dynamic Characters
There are characters inside you! Ah! Don’t worry—learn how to access the wide array of characters through body, voice, and movement to expand what you bring to the stage. For all kinds of performers, but especially improvisers looking to be more dynamic with character work on stage.
